Coastal Waters Forecast Area: Geraldton Coastal Waters

Geraldton has numerous sailing spots. Pt. Moore, Sunsets and Coronations Beach to name a few. Below is a detailed rundown on "Corros"

Situated about 25Km's north of Geraldton, Coronations Beach is a great place to visit and stay. If you have your camping gear you can stay there for a minimal charge.   There is a great little caravan there where you can get small goods. It's run by a great sailor and he doesn't make a bad cup of coffee either.   If you're just getting into the waves Corros is perfect.  You sail from flat water that runs out for about eight hundred meters then into a small wave, followed by bigger waves at the back.   The waves are good but hard to sail down the line.  It's a good place to learn waterstart. Some people go there just to learn how to waterstart because the winds are so consistent.   You may need a weed fin and it would pay to take a small sail because it can really blow.   Bring a fishing rod and a surfboard and you are in for a great time.

The people are friendly.
