Coastal Waters Forecast Area: Perth Local Waters Forecast

Located close to Perth, on the south side of the Cottesloe beach groin.

Plenty of grass to rig on and about forty feet to walk to the sea.

It works best in a sea breeze (summer breeze from the South West between October and March) but can work well in winter on northerly round to southerly breezes

Dutch Inn has a reef about two hundred meters out from the beach, the reef is about five feet deep and makes a nice wave on a good day.

Launching off the beach can be a bit tricky as there is limestone rocks under water about four feet out from the beach. Watch out for the fin here (or make Reg happy when you go back for a new one!)

A lot of good sailors go there and it's a great spectator point.

To sail at Dutch Inn you should be competent at waterstarting.
